79% of respondents said they had already shopped in the metaverse, with 47% of respondents shopping within games, 37% buying virtual beauty products, and 33% buying real products that were sold in the virtual world.
According to the study, within the next ten years, more than half of the usual activities will move to virtual worlds. This includes shopping, social networking, fitness, dating and education. More than 60% of surveyed users look forward to moving their activities to metaverses.

95% of CEOs surveyed believe that having a meta-universe will positively impact on their industries over the next 5 to 10 years, the report said.

McKinsey predicts the capitalization of the metaverse market will reach $5 trillion by 2030.

New business opportunities:

Metaverses are becoming a useful tool for business.

They provide new opportunities to:

  • attracting and retaining the attention of users;
  • promotion of goods and services;
  • advertising placement;
  • online events (conferences, exhibitions, webinars);
  • more immersive contact between people and the brand, product or service.

The combination of these devices will make it possible to create immersive digital worlds with full user immersion.
Technologies that simulate sensations are already available, such as touch and smell. In addition, technology that simulates taste is being developed.

The development of blockchain, in turn, will solve issues related to personalization, identification and confirmation of property rights in meta-villages.

The use of artificial intelligence and machine learning will help create more complex and realistic virtual worlds.

The development of these technologies in the future can improve the quality of metaworlds and expand

their functionality. For example, with the development of virtualization and haptic feedback, people will be able to try on clothes and shoes at 1:1 scale with highly detailed textures and product shapes. In this case, we can expect to see an increase in real sales through an improved online shopping process.



Metaverses is not just another step in the development of digital technology, it is a whole new world that can change our lives and the way we interact with each other, as the Internet once did.

However, at the moment, we are only at the initial stage of metavowels development. There is still much to do to reach the maximum potential of this interesting and promising concept. But already today we can see how people are showing great interest in meta universes, and companies are making serious investments in this technology.
